Loomlock is a free daily loop-deduction puzzle operated by the AI Agency. This policy explains, in plain terms, what the site stores, what it never stores, and how to exercise your data rights.

What Loomlock collects

The puzzle itself is solved entirely in your browser. Every edge you draw, every X you mark, and the solution check that keeps Loomlock no-guess all run on your own device — none of that is transmitted anywhere. There is no account, no sign-up, and no email address to give us.

When you finish a daily board we store one anonymous, spoiler-free snapshot of the result: the puzzle number, its date, your solve time, how many hints you used, your day-streak length, and a small “pace glyph” derived only from how your solving speed varied over the solve. That snapshot is what your shareable card is drawn from, and it is what lets the site tell you how your time compares with everyone else who played that day. It contains no name, no email, no device identifier and no board coordinates, and it is not linked to a profile of you.

What stays on your device

Your streak, your play history and your best times are kept in your browser’s local storage, not on our servers. That is why they follow the browser rather than you: clear your site data, or open Loomlock in a different browser, and that history is gone. We cannot read it and we cannot restore it.

Advertising & cookies

Loomlock is free because it is supported by unobtrusive display advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies — including the Google DoubleClick/DART cookie — to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Where the law requires it (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), Google’s certified consent management platform asks for your choice before any advertising cookie is set, and you can reopen that choice at any time from the privacy control it displays.

You can also opt out of personalised advertising directly at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them non-personalised.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate usage — how many people opened a board, which pages get read, roughly where visitors come from — so we know what to improve. It is configured to measure without advertising personalisation, and we never use it to identify an individual player.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the EEA, the UK or California, you have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because solve snapshots are anonymous by design, we usually have no way to connect one to you — which is the point — so a deletion request may be answered by explaining that there is nothing identifying you to delete. You can change or withdraw your advertising-cookie consent whenever you like using the privacy control shown by the consent platform, and you can clear all cookies and local storage in your browser settings. We do not sell personal information.

Children

Loomlock is a general-audience puzzle and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If what we store or how we use it changes, we update this page and the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use Loomlock after a change means the updated policy applies.
